The Gay and Lesbian Coalition of Kenya - GALCK, is happy to announce the completion of the Strategic Planning Process. The Coalition has now developed a strategic plan defining its methodology and actionable areas for Human and Health Rights advocacy for the LGBTI Kenyans. This Plan document also includes sections on the current member groups of the Coalition.
This is a most remarkable achievement, which is comparable to 3 other epochal events in the Coalition's history including, the founding of the coaltion in June 2006, participation at the World Social Forum - which is arguably the outing process of the LGBTI movement in Kenya, and the opening of the physical offices in August 2008.
As we now embark on implementing this framework of Action, we shall rely on active particpation of all the member groups, deepening of current networks, and creation of new networks.
