RECENT EVENTS.
Ishtar was represented at the International Dialogue on Gender, Sexuality and HIV/AIDS in Johannesburg, South Africa on 6th-10th December 2007. (The report can be attached)
Larry Misedah was in Accra Ghana on the 3rd-7th January 2008 for the peer review of the amfAR MSM Initiative funds.
There was representation led by the Co-Directors at the UNGASS meeting held in Nairobi on the 15th January 2008
Projects.
Ishtar is involved with the Kenya AIDS Vaccine on the ongoing research for AIDS vaccine. On the 15th of December 2007, the end year General Meeting was held that had more than 200 MSM in attendance. Cary Allan Johnson and Victor Mukasa from the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission attended the workshop. Cary later gave a short speech.
