VISION
To build an organization that will strive for the attainment of full health rights and social well being for Men who have sex with men (MSM) in Kenya.
MISSION
Advance the sexual health of MSM and reduce stigma and discrimination aligned with them in Kenya.
The objectives of Ishtar are:
- To create, raise and promote public awareness to promote tolerance an acceptance of MSM in the society.
- To instill skills to know, accept and be able to live with ones self: self awareness, self esteem and understanding; and coping with emotions
- To use different media e.g. drama, dance and skits, flyers brochures and newsletters to pass message on safe sexual health rights
- To emphasize information, life skills, and development of positive attitudes and values. and
- To identify and develop a referral system for MSM health needs.
- Advocate for equal access of healthcare for MSM
