Call For 2022 LILO Identity Facilitators

galck+ in collaboration with Positive Vibe is seeking the 2022 LILO Identity Facilitators, who will be engaged in a nine (9) day workshop.
LILO (Looking In Looking Out) Identity is a personalised approach to exploring gender identity and sexual orientation. The workshop aims to move individuals towards a positive LGBTQ+ identity, a strong self-concept, and high regard for themselves as LGBTQ+ individuals. Participants are encouraged to integrate their LGBTQ+ identity with their other qualities and roles – and to see themselves as complex, multifaceted human beings with many strengths and skills. Topics cover language, the emergent development process of exploring sexual orientation and gender identity, relationship skills, creating a circle of positive support, and skills for coming out and understanding the impact of prejudice and discrimination.
This will be continuous training from 9th October to 22nd October 2022. This includes travelling days and weekends.

galck+ with support from Hivos will be facilitating the Free To Be Me programme in Kenya. The Free to be Me Kenya project partners are seeking applications from committed activists and grant-making experts to be members of the 2022 Kenya Grant-Making Panel (GMP).
Free to be Me is creating a participatory grant-making panel made up of LGBTQ+ activists, experts, and allies. The Free to be Me aims to increase the capacity of the LGBTQ+ community to self-organise and advocate for its rights, self-determination, and wellbeing.

Free to be Me is a multi-year program aiming to bring together organizations and individuals that will contribute to advancing LGBTQ+ leadership in advocating for social and economic rights and bring an alliance of organizations that are experienced and strongly committed to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ people.

CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST | Kenya Free to Be Me Community of Action

galck+ with support from Hivos will be facilitating the Free To Be Me programme in Kenya. The Free to be Me program is seeking applications from committed LGBTQ+-led organisations to be members of the Community of Action (CoA) in Kenya from 2021 – 2025.
The CoA is a facilitated safe space where LGBTQ+ people and their organisations come together. Here organizations share their advocacy plans, priorities and strategies as well as their successes, results, and lessons learned. In this space, they also strategize to define potential joint advocacy areas and moments when they can act together. It also is a space for mutual learning and capacity-strengthening activities.
Applications should be submitted in English.
