Yvee Oduor

They/Them

Executive Coordinator

Yvee Oduor is the Executive Coordinator at galck+, where they lead the coalition’s coordination,
advocacy, and movement-building efforts for LGBTQ+ communities across Kenya. In this role, Yvee
works closely with member organisations, civil society partners, and regional stakeholders to strengthen
collective advocacy for the human rights of gender and sexual minorities. Their work includes
coordinating national advocacy initiatives, supporting joint litigation and policy engagement,
strengthening partnerships within the coalition, and facilitating programs that promote gender and sexual
diversity, leadership development, and community accountability.
A gender non-conforming feminist with a background in journalism, Yvee brings strong experience in
storytelling, research, and advocacy to their work. They are part of a SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender
Identity and Expression) research committee that coordinates and undertakes research on behalf of
LGBTQ+ organisations within the coalition. Their work is grounded in intersectional feminist practice
and a commitment to building stronger, connected movements for justice.
Over the years, Yvee has worked and volunteered with several LGBTQ+-focused organisations in
different capacities and is the co-founder of Because Womxn, a healing justice initiative for lesbian,
bisexual, and queer women and gender non-conforming people in Kenya. They have also participated in
various leadership institutes and fellowships and serve on the boards of several grassroots and social
justice organisations. Yvee is the Vice Chair of the Management Committee at the Commonwealth
Equality Network (TCEN) and was the recipient of the Upinde Fahari Award in 2022 in recognition of
their contributions to LGBTQ+ advocacy.
Yvee holds a Master’s degree in Gender Studies from the London School of Economics and Political
Science (LSE), where their academic work further deepened their engagement with feminist thought,
social justice, and global movements for equality.

Vincent Mosweta

Head of Finance & Operations

Vincent Mosweta serves as the Head of Finance and Operations at galck+, the national umbrella body for sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression (SOGIE) organizations in Kenya. In this senior leadership role, Vincent has full responsibility for the financial, human resource, and operational management of the organization. His mandate spans strategic financial planning and reporting, multi-donor grant compliance, HR administration, procurement, office management, internal controls, risk management, and institutional governance support. He works closely with the Executive Coordinator to ensure that galck+’s resources are managed transparently, efficiently, and in full alignment with donor requirements, statutory obligations, and organizational policy.
With over ten years of progressive experience in donor-funded NGOs and INGOs, Vincent brings deep expertise in multi-donor grant management, financial reporting, budgeting, audits, payroll, and HR operations. He has managed complex donor portfolios at galck+ funded by institutional donors including Wellspring Philanthropic Fund, UNAIDS, UNDP, the European Union, Arcus Foundation, Hivos, AJWS, Outright International, UHAI, and Kaleidoscope Trust, among others. Prior to joining galck+, he served as an Accountant at the International Republican Institute (IRI), where he led financial management for DFID, NED and USAID-funded programmes and provided compliance training and oversight to field offices across multiple African countries.
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance Major) from Kenyatta University and has pursued further professional development in Managerial Finance through the London School of Economics and Political Science, as well as Data Analytics through Google and Coursera. He is proficient in QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, and advanced Excel, and is recognised for delivering clean audit outcomes, strengthening institutional systems, and providing strategic financial advice that supports organizational growth and long-term sustainability. His expertise in managing donor funding and his ability to apply IFRS and GAAP standards have made him a reliable steward of resources. Vincent is a committed champion of galck+’s mission and values, and actively contributes to the organization’s advocacy and institutional visibility in relevant professional spaces

E. Chepkirui Ronoh

Programmes Development Officer

Chepkirui leads programme design, resourcing, coordination and monitoring at galck+, driving work that advances the rights and well-being of LGBTQ+ and gender-diverse people across Kenya. In her role, she manages the full programme and project cycle, from concept and proposal development through implementation, reporting and adaptive learning, and supports institutional and movement-building processes, internship mentorship and membership-level coordination to ensure programmes are responsive, safe and sustainable.
With 8+ years in CSO organising/programming, Chepkirui worked with SCDP (2013 – 2022) as a Head of Department (Outreach/Programmes) supporting community-based service delivery across Kericho, Nandi, Bomet and Narok counties. Outside of her expertise in project designing, management and community-linked economic justice programming, Chepkirui has participated in several leadership and advocacy programmes, including the African Women Leadership Institute and a six-month leadership and advocacy program at the Carr-Ryan Centre for Human Rights and Policy, Harvard Kennedy School and represented community perspectives at the World Bank & IMF Spring Meetings (2025). She is currently specialising in the Philosophy of Gender and Development and remains committed to feminist, rights-based approaches that centre inclusion, dignity, thriving and freedom.

Mark Ninga

Communications and Digital Media Officer

Sirr Ninga (he/him) is the Communications and Digital Media Officer at galck+, where he leads the organization’s strategic communications and digital advocacy work. Ninga develops messaging frameworks, digital campaigns, and narrative strategies that translate complex legal, social, and political issues into clear public communication. His work focuses on helping audiences understand how human rights, policy, and democratic participation intersect with everyday life. At galck+, he manages digital platforms, supports leadership communications, and builds communication systems that enable the organization to communicate consistently, strategically, and responsibly in often sensitive or polarized environments.

With over five years of experience in civil society, Ninga works at the intersection of human rights, public narrative, and political participation. He has designed and led communication strategies that strengthen advocacy campaigns, elevate leadership visibility, and align coalitions around shared messaging. His work spans narrative development, digital advocacy and campaign management, stakeholder and coalition communications, crisis and reputational communication, and analytics systems that help organizations learn from their outreach. Ninga is particularly interested in how storytelling shapes public imagination and how communication can move issues from controversy to comprehension. His professional training and leadership experience includes the Harvard LGBTQ+ Activism Summit, YALI East Africa, the Sexuality, Gender & Rights Institute (SGRI), the East Africa Human Rights Program, the Transformative Justice Institute – Feminists in Kenya, and the Global Messaging Program (Ireland & Australia, 2025). In practice, Ninga approaches communications as both infrastructure and craft building strategies, systems, and campaigns that don’t just travel far, but land with clarity, credibility, and impact; in other words, a bit of a communications baddie.

Kivenzi Muange (Kim)

Operations & Office of the Executive Coordinator Officer

Kivenzi Muange serves as the Operations and Office of the Executive Coordinator Officer at galck+. In
this role, Kim ensures the smooth functioning of the organization’s day-to-day operations while
coordinating key activities within the Executive Coordinator’s office. They oversee administrative
systems, procurement processes, and vendor relations, ensuring compliance with organizational policies
and efficient management of operational resources. Kim also coordinates logistics for internal and
external meetings, conferences, and regional engagements, including travel arrangements for staff,
partners, and guests. As part of their work supporting the Executive Coordinator, they help manage
schedules, prepare documentation, and coordinate institutional priorities and special initiatives. Beyond
operational responsibilities, Kim contributes to galck+’s advocacy agenda by supporting external
engagements and strengthening the organization’s institutional visibility across movement spaces.
Kim holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy and brings an intersectional
feminist lens to their work in movement building and human rights advocacy. They have participated in
UN Trans Advocacy Week (2023 and 2024) during sessions of the United Nations Human Rights
Council, where they engaged with permanent missions, diplomatic representatives, and UN agencies,
including presenting a statement to the then Independent Expert on Protection against violence and
discrimination based on SOGIE, Victor Madrigal-Borloz. Kim was also part of the first cohort of the
Feminists in Kenya Transformative Justice Institute and the Eastern Africa Editors Society Human Rights
Defenders Bootcamp. Their activism spans local, regional, and international platforms, as well as hybrid
spaces that bridge traditional organizing and digital advocacy.

Wanjiku Kariuki

Finance and Administration Officer

Wanjiku Kariuki (she/her) is the Finance & Admin Officer at galck+. She is a human rights advocate, organizer, and movement builder who blends sharp organizational skills with a passion for feminist and queer liberation. Whether she’s managing financial sustainability, compliance, and donor documentation, or organizing collaborative spaces for activists, she sees structure and care as two sides of the same coin.

She is passionate about ensuring that marginalized communities not only resist but also thrive, centering queer joy as an essential aspect of activism. Wanjiku flourishes in collaborative spaces, believing that sustainable movements are built through collective effort, solidarity, and strategic action. Alongside this, she is deeply invested in cultivating wellness practices within activist spaces, recognizing that those at the forefront of justice work often carry immense burdens. She champions care, rest, and joy as vital components of resilience, ensuring that movements not only endure but also nourish those who sustain them.

Koi Ng'ethe

Programmes Officer

Koi Ngethe is a Programmes Officer at galck+. In this role, they lead the design, coordination, and implementation of programmes that advance the rights, safety, and well-being of LGBTQ+ Kenyans. Their work focuses on advocacy, policy engagement, and community-centered programming aimed at strengthening protection systems, expanding access to mental health and safety services, and influencing policies that promote equality and justice for LGBTQ+ communities. They also led collaboration with civil society partners, government actors, and international organizations to advance strategic advocacy initiatives and ensure resources are directed toward impactful, community-driven interventions.

With over a decade of experience in human rights, climate justice, and social justice work, Koi has successfully designed and implemented transformative programmes advancing gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and climate justice. They have a strong interest in policy development and analysis, ensuring governance frameworks and policies are informed by lived realities and grounded in human rights principles. Their expertise spans programme development and implementation, monitoring and evaluation, strategic partnerships, and capacity strengthening, enabling sustainable and inclusive solutions to complex social challenges. Passionate, results-oriented, and deeply committed to equity and justice, Koi is a trusted changemaker who champions transparency, impact, and long-term sustainability in every initiative they undertake.

Kenneth Thethe

Security Response Coordinator

Kenneth Thethe (Mamushka) is a human rights defender, founder, and security practitioner dedicated to strengthening protection for LGBTQ+ communities and other marginalized groups. As the Security Response Coordinator at galck+, he leads community-based security and protection systems, coordinates emergency response for at-risk individuals and organizations, and supports initiatives that enhance both physical and digital safety.

His work focuses on strengthening frontline security responses, integrating psychosocial support into protection work, and building the capacity of grassroots activists to navigate increasingly hostile environments. Kenneth is a 2022 East African Human Rights Programme Fellow, an ESI Fellow (2025/2026), and was recognized among the Top 10 Global Human Rights Defenders at the 2023 Dublin Arts and Human Rights Festival

Innocent Channy

Office Assistant

Innocent Channy (he/him) serves as the Office Assistant at galck+, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the office through administrative and operational assistance to the secretariat. His work focuses on maintaining organized administrative systems, managing record-keeping for receipts and petty cash, supporting basic procurement processes, and ensuring office resources and supplies are well coordinated. He also handles routine office tasks such as document preparation, filing, printing, and correspondence, while assisting in the setup and coordination of meetings, trainings, and partnership engagements.

A CCNA- and Cybersecurity-certified professional, Channy brings both structure and personality to his work. He is passionate about building meaningful connections and friendships, guided by his personal motto: “Death to hookup culture.”
