Lorna Dias
She/Her
Outgoing Executive Coordinator

Lorna Dias, a Kenyan national, is a seasoned media consultant and social justice activist with 15 years of experience in policy engagement and advocacy, focusing on governance, human rights, and HIV. She has served as the Executive Coordinator of galck+ since 2014 and is now the outgoing EC, having played a pivotal role in strengthening the coalition’s advocacy, strategic direction, and institutional growth.

Before her tenure at galck+, Lorna was Technical Officer: Documentation and Guidelines at Kenya’s Ministry of Health National AIDS and STI Control Programme Technical Support Unit (2013–2014) and Most-at-Risk Populations Programme Coordinator at LVCT Health (2008–2013), Kenya’s leading HIV testing and treatment provider.She holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology (Counselling) from the University of Nairobi (2007) and a Bachelor’s in Education from Kenyatta University (1990). An AusAID Australian Leadership Award Fellow (2011), she has significantly contributed to national and institutional policies, publications, and manuals addressing violence, sexual health, and human rights for sexual and gender minorities, sex workers, and people who use drugs. Lorna has undertaken various professional courses, including the USAID/MEASURE Evaluation Leadership Development Program (2013), Financial Management training by MANGO (2016), and CREA’s Feminist Leadership, Movement Building, and Rights Institute (2016). Her legacy at galck+ is one of resilience, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to social justice.

Yvonne (Yvee) Oduor

Incoming Executive Coordinator

Yvonne (Yvee) Oduor is a gender non-conforming feminist and human rights activist committed to advocating for the rights of gender and sexual minorities in Kenya, across Africa, and globally. With an MSc in Gender, Media, and Culture from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Yvee brings over a decade of hands-on experience in queer organizing.

As part of the managerial leadership at galck+, they have developed expertise in operations, feminist knowledge production, advocacy, communications, gender and sexual diversity inclusion, mentorship, and joint litigation programs at national, regional, and international levels. Their activism began within the Gay, Bisexual, and Men who have Sex with Men (GBMSM) movement, later leading them to co-found Because Womxn, a healing justice initiative for Lesbians, Bisexual and Queer Women, and gender non-conforming people in Kenya.

Beyond their organizational leadership, Yvee actively volunteers with numerous LGBTQ+ organizations, participates in institutes and fellowships, and serves on the boards of various social justice movements and grassroots initiatives in Kenya. Currently, they are the Vice Chair of the management committee at the Commonwealth Equality Network (TCEN) and were honored with the Upinde Fahari Award in 2022 for their dedication to social justice.

Vincent Mosweta

Finance and HR Manager

Vincent Mosweta is a highly skilled Finance and Operations Specialist with over a decade of experience in financial management, operational strategy, and donor-funded program administration. At galck+, he leads strategic financial planning, ensuring accountability, optimized resource allocation, and long-term organizational sustainability. His deep expertise in financial compliance, applying IFRS and GAAP standards, strengthens institutional transparency and enhances funding opportunities.

 

As Finance and HR Manager, Vincent merges financial expertise with a people-centered approach, fostering an inclusive and dynamic work culture. He is committed to talent development, employee engagement, and implementing policies that align with organizational growth. Passionate about social impact, he integrates financial strategy with advocacy, driving effective donor-funded initiatives that support LGBTQ+ rights and marginalized communities.

 

Currently pursuing an Executive MBA, Vincent applies modern financial analytics to enhance strategic decision-making. Beyond his professional commitments, he enjoys hiking and badminton, reflecting his dedication to balance, continuous growth, and excellence in financial and operational leadership.

E. Chepkirui Ronoh

Programmes Development Officer

Meet E. Chepkirui Ronoh, a dedicated Programmes Development Officer at galck+, where she plays a key role in programme development, management, resourcing, execution, coordination, and monitoring. Her work is driven by a deep commitment to ensuring the equal application of rights and enhancing the well-being of LGBTQ+ individuals across the country.

As an African Feminist, Chepkirui is deeply rooted in the fight for Human Rights for ALL, championing Gender Equity, Diversity, Accessibility, Inclusion, and Social Justice. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she is a relentless advocate for the unheard, marginalized, and excluded, using her voice to champion equal rights and amplify critical issues.

Her vision is grounded in building a just and inclusive society—one that is impartial, participatory, and equitable in its distribution of opportunities and resources. She strives for a world where all sectors of society and the economy respect Human Rights, ensuring that freedoms are upheld without interference or restriction.

Ivy Werimba

Communication & Advocacy Officer

Ivy Werimba is a communications strategist and project manager with a deep passion for understanding human behavior and leveraging digital tools for impactful advocacy. With a background in advertising, media relations, and advocacy campaigns, she has successfully led strategic initiatives across diverse sectors. As Communications and Advocacy Officer at galck+, Ivy spearheaded a rebranding campaign, strengthened stakeholder relationships, and consistently enhanced brand visibility, engagement, and impact

Previously, at Alternative Agency, she managed award-winning campaigns for brands like Durex Kenya and Land Rover, driving digital engagement and stakeholder collaboration. Her expertise spans media relations, crisis communication, content creation, and stakeholder engagement, backed by a strong foundation in psychology from the University of Nairobi. A published writer and speaker, Ivy actively contributes to global feminist and human rights discourse. She is deeply committed to strategic communication for social change, amplifying marginalized voices, and shaping inclusive narratives.

Mark Ninga

Digital Media Officer

A collector of queer joy & experiences harnessing the power of every digital pixel to shift narratives and spark change.

Ninga is a digital disruptor and strategist, using media to reclaim space, rewrite the script, and demand a world where LGBTQ+ Kenyans exist freely and boldly. With a knack for storytelling that challenges misinformation and shakes societal norms, they are redefining digital activism.

A fellow of YALI East Africa 2024, CREA’s SGRI (Sexuality, Gender and Rights Institute 2024), and EAHRP (East Africa Human Rights Program) 2025, Ninga specializes in strategic communications, digital organizing, and movement-building. As galck+’s Digital Media Officer, they have led groundbreaking campaigns that do more than raise awareness they shift culture .

With a background in International Relations from the United States International University (USIU)  and certifications in digital advocacy and human rights, Ninga bridges policy and activism to dismantle oppressive narratives while building sustainable movements. A Harvard International LGBTQ+ Summit participant, they bring Kenyan queer stories to global stages, ensuring they are recognized, documented, and celebrated. 

Their dream? A world where Kenyan LGBTQ+ stories are told freely, fiercely, and without apology where queer lives are not just seen but exalted.

Kivenzi Muange (Kim)

Assistant Operations Officer

Kim is a dedicated queer activist with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy, whose work is deeply rooted in intersectionality. They recognize the interconnected struggles of marginalized communities and advocate for collective empowerment, ensuring that voices from the grassroots drive systemic change. With experience engaging in various human rights mechanisms and platforms, Kim brings a diverse and strategic perspective to advocacy, bridging local realities with international dialogues. They currently serve as the Assistant Operations Officer at galck+, where they contribute to the coalition’s mission through capacity strengthening, global and local advocacy, cross-movement collaborations, and fostering meaningful partnerships for trans and queer communities in Kenya and beyond.

Wanjiku Kariuki

Assistant Finance Officer

Wanjiku Kariuki (she/her) is a passionate human rights advocate, organizer, and movement builder dedicated to feminist and queer liberation. She is committed to ensuring that marginalized communities not only resist oppression but also thrive, with queer joy at the heart of activism.

Thriving in collaborative spaces, Wanjiku believes that lasting movements are built through collective effort, solidarity, and strategic action. Her work focuses on financial sustainability, research-driven advocacy, and strengthening organizational structures to amplify the impact of grassroots and regional campaigns.

Ruth Mugure

Volunteer

Mugure (she/her) is the Assistant Admin Intern at galck+, where she plays a vital role in ensuring the organization’s daily operations run smoothly. She manages office tasks, coordinates meetings, facilitates communications, and fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment for staff, visitors, and community members.

Passionate about advocacy and community engagement, Mugure is dedicated to creating safe, affirming, and inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals. Through her administrative support, she contributes to galck+’s mission by streamlining processes and assisting initiatives that uplift and empower the community.

With a strong commitment to equity and inclusion, Mugure strives to cultivate a supportive and accessible environment where everyone feels valued, heard, and encouraged to collaborate for positive change.
